Question about Green Items
I've searched the forum for this, and couldn't really find anything.
I've started running Grenth's Footprint/Sorrow's Furnace with my N/Me, in the hope of a green item. I'm just curious if any kind of droprate has been guessed? I did runs for a few hours tonight, and got nothing, so I'm assuming they're pretty rare? Thanks, and sorry if it's a newbie question that gets brought up all the time :P |

the current estimate is 20-30% of the time it will drop...I've been going with the 30% number...and with a group of 5 people, that means you have a 6% chance of getting a green item when killing a boss...and remember, henchies take their share...if you take 7 henchies, you get a 3.75% chance of getting one, or even seeing one

Just realised I posted this in the wrong area, sorry about that :P
I was taking 7 Henchmen along, so that's probably why they weren't dropping then >< Now I just have to choose either: - Ditch some of the Henchies, making the runs harder, or - Change my Necro's build so people want her in parties =( |

Henches steal the drops.
I have not had good luck getting greens when going with henches. Go with people. You can use echo spiteful build or minion master and then people would want you in their parties. |

It's funny, the first two times I hit Sorrow's Furnace (during the first or second week of it's release), I went out with 7 henchies and got a yakslapper both times.
Of course, since I don't have a Monk, I just sold them to the vendor because I didn't realize they were anything special . Everytime I've gone out since then (only about 12 more times), I haven't even seen a green drop. Joe |

I've had 3 greens with groups of mostly henchies, I think 1 time 2 people +6 henchies and another 3 people. It can happen, just got lucky those times.

For me, and I have probably ranted about this before on these forums , henchies not only stop you getting green drops, but also my experiences with them in SF have shown me drops of any kind are majorly affected by them. Despite using them a lot for missions and quests, I will not take any henchies farming in SF, save for mhenlo if healers are in short supply.

Decided to drop to 6 Henchies, as I really didn't need Aidan. Got quite lucky tonight, in the space of an hour or so, I've found Morgriff's Scepter, and Flint's Fleshcleaver. I keep finding Water Ele items, it's like the game's telling me to make one :P

You probably found it already, but this is a very helpful thread about Green Items and their relative prices:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=66631 Be warned, it may be a little out of date, but the effort put into it is substantial. |
